Pregnancy: 19 Weeks

As of today, I'm 19 weeks pregnant! WooHoo! Almost half way! I can't believe the past few months have gone so fast, but I heard the last few months of pregnancy feel like the longest months of your life! I bet that's true because at some point, you get so uncomfortable, so anxious to meet your baby that everyone has been talking about for months now that you just want that phase of your life to start, even though it kind of already has. Here's a look at my physical progression from 5 weeks to 18, now, the most recent picture makes me look much larger than I think I really look, so let's blame it on the maternity top, okay?

14 weeks and 10lbs later, I'm feeling pretty good overall. I still have tired moments and my legs are starting to look like a road map, but it's still very exciting! Graham started (noticeably) kicking at exactly 18 weeks and my appetite has grown, I'm definitely carrying a boy; he's already eating us out of house and home! We feel so blessed to be experiencing the creation of a life and we are trying to enjoy every second! We can't wait to meet him and teach him all about life and living in Christ's image.

It's a BOY!

We found out we were having a boy after our 16 week gender ultrasound! Andrew's cousin works in our doctor's office so she scanned us after hours and then we asked her to box the boy or girl outfit we bought, depending on which gender our baby was! We took the box home and unwrapped it in front of our video camera which made for a priceless moment!

Our first picture after finding out we're having a boy!

My weekly chalkboard sign after finding out we're having a little man!
After 2 weeks of trying to keep our fantastic secret under wraps, we were finally able to share our exciting news with our family on Sunday! We got all of our immediate family together, minus 3 siblings, and had soup and sandwiches before letting everyone show their guess by holding a pink or blue plate and then cutting our cake to reveal!

The guesses were about 50/50 which made it even more exciting! We Facetimed my brother who is attending medical school in Arizona and couldn't physically attend our party in Indiana and then posted our news on Facebook after all of our immediate family knew! It was soooo much fun! Andrew even decided to share our son's name with everyone, even though he originally wanted to keep that a secret until he was born, and his name is Graham!

Our cake! "Little Lady or Little Man"
After cutting the cake and revealing we're having a boy!

We have so much to be thankful for! God is good!

Pregnancy: 16 & 17 Weeks

So much has happened since I last posted! At 16 weeks we had our gender ultrasound scheduled and found out if we're having a boy or girl! But don't get too excited, I can't share the official news with you yet! Our gender cake party is this coming weekend so I have to attempt to keep quiet until then!

The Ultrasound was SO exciting! Baby has grown so much and was moving around like crazy! I was told to drink orange juice beforehand and wow, it worked! Baby waved at us with it's foot and was squirming all over the place! We decided to buy a girl outfit and boy outfit and have Jennifer, Andrew's cousin who works at our OBGYN office, put the appropriate outfit in the box for us to open in front of our camera at home! I was very exciting!
Here is out little one at 16 weeks!

What a miracle! Andrew was even in tears at one point because of how much the baby had grown! It was truly memorable!

As of today, I'm 17 weeks and 5 days and we have been slowly getting the nursery together! My parents are coming in this weekend for our family gender cake party and I can hardly contain my excitement! It's also been VERY hard not to spill the beans and not to buy every outfit I see now! Especially since Carter's has been having tons of baby sales! Here's the nursery so far, Andrew and his Papaw hung the Bible verse prints I made on Sunday!

I can't wait to share the gender of Baby Montgomery #1 with you soon! Check back in a few days for more details and pictures from our cake party!
