Ahhhh, we FINALLY made it to our first wedding anniversary! The first year was definitely busy, full of excitement and surprises, love, family, and new experiences! While the first year felt like a lifetime, it was so wonderfully worth every second!
We decided to start a few traditions to commemorate our wedding anniversary every year. We began our day by going to church together, then Andrew planned a picnic in beautiful Brown County, IN, (my favorite part). When we got home, we watched our wedding video and reminisced at how perfect our wedding day was, took a picture with the sign I made for our engagement photos, only redone to say "Year One", lit our unity candle, drank out of our champagne glasses, and put our wedding cake topper on a 6" cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory; truly the perfect celebration! We also wrote each other a letter, like we did while we were engaged and on our wedding day, which was very special.

What a lovely, blessed, and memorable first year of marriage with my best friend. Love my Andrew!
"Today marks the 1 year anniversary of our wedding and our marriage. In the past year, not only have we grown closer and more in love with one another, we have also gone through many major life changes. We have moved at least 3 times, lived in two cities, 3 zip codes, rented two apartments, bought our first house, paid off my student loans, survived coaching Jr. High girls basketball together, and had a few jobs in there too. If you know me well, you know that I'm a planner, but I have to say, I couldn't have planned on this past year being more hectic, more exciting, more loving, more inspiring, more defining or more amazing than it has been. We are so blessed! Our marriage has been so easy, so fun, so rewarding and so fulfilling, thanks to the man who I get to share it with. I thank God for my Andrew!"
Happy Living & God's Blessings!
J.M.
